I installed it on a 115X socket so I had to use the included bracket, which brings me to the only "downside". it's not shipped with a backplate. The push pins only latch on the backside of the motherboard, which means the whole weight of the cooler is held by 4 points on the motherboard itself. That said, it will probably hold up just fine. if you plan to travel often with your pc. You can always buy a backplate.
