I bought this to get into 3D scanning and understand how it works. I have several CNC machines and 3D scanning will be a great asset to my toolbox. This machine really opened my knowledge of 3D scanning for a very reasonable price. I am also going to try the X-Box Kenect for Windows next to see if it will be any different. This set-up is inexpensive, and if you have the patience, easy to make work. MeshCam can really help complete your image just learn how it works using you-tube (and it's free) :-)

The installation procedure is quite simple, it comes with instructions, which are very detailed. Explain about the machine accessories, how to assemble, how to use the built-in computer to level the scanner platform, the introduction of the scanning screen function, how to carry out The glass build plate is pretty awesome. scanner come off super easily.

The build quality and injected red molded parts are solid and sturdy. I was happy to receive the unit in time and at an amazing speed. Best price in the market as well. Easy to use open source DIY 3d scanning kit. The scanner was delivered within a week from the order and all the parts were well numbers and hence took me just 2 hours to assemble it. The scanner works well. It’s a great purchase.

I think I may have been expecting too much for a scanner in this price range. It works as promised, but that doesn't mean it works well. The level of detail just isn't where I needed it to be.

Assembled a works good. Took some adjustment. Directions could have been clearer. Horus software can be difficult. I still haven't gotten that to where I am 100% comfortable with the scans.

I would recommend the scanner to everyone as it is very easy to understand and operate. The manual not only guides you how to assemble the scanner but also guides you about how it works.

Reasonable cost, easy to assemble. 100% compatible with "horus" software. Working 100% Suggestion Big plasyic parts should be more robust to avoid little allignement problems

The scanner is not as perfect as I expected it to be. But, its software is an impressive one. For experienced graphic designers, the scanner is one to have a lot of fun with.

I am loving this scanner as it serves my purpose and comes at the 1/10 th the cost of its competitors and its cheaper than most turntables available out there.

The scanner is ok and the scan needs a lot of rework.
