Amkoy Waterproof Seedling Heat Mat Plant Seed Germination Clone Seed Starting Warm Pad Heating Mat

I found this heat mat/thermostat combo to be very reliable. I have used the thermostat for years to control multiple 20 watt heat mats ganged in with one thermostat and it has worked well to start thousands of seedlings in the cool basement. This year, in its fifth growing season, after two months of continuous use the thermostat failed and displayed "Err". I could adjust the control temp, but there was no feedback of the current temperature, instead reporting Err. I contacted Vivosun the next day to see what I could do to troubleshoot the problem. Their response was to ship me a new thermostat. And they shipped it quickly as well. That is some excellent customer service. They replaced a 4 year old unit without being asked, and did so promptly enough that I only missed a few days of its use. It is safe to say they have gained a loyal customer. Update: Back in business. At midnight last night, after 48 hours @90F on the heat mats, no lights, this corn started to pop through.

Worked well, after a watchful learning curve. Whatever the mats are lying on impacts how warm the mats are able to get the soil! THINK-temp of base and insulator quality -also consider the ambient air (floor: tile? Cold, Carpet? Warm, plastic folding table insulates most warmth, metal folding table -stays warm -in a warm room!) I needed 85 degrees for pepper seeds - with 68 room temp, carpet substrate maintained 85 degrees or higher. The plastic top folding table only maintained 78-83 with ambient air at 68-although with ambient air set on 76-78, the mats stayed warmer. Just observe - you will need the item below to get an accurate reading of the soil temp!

In-service for approximately 1 month, under 2 gallons of kombucha. Temperature of brew is very consistent, and controller indicates that element is powered only as needed. unit is performing exactly as i had hoped. required about 3 days to interpret controller display : kombucha temperature relationship. in my environment, a controller setting of 78.0 ambient is maintaining a brew temp of approx. 80-82.

Quality product, use it for clones and small plants to help them root fast + stay in optimal conditions. The temperature controller is 100% necessary . Highly recommended . Hope to use this for years to come, and it appears that it will last without hesitation.

Delivery about a month to Minsk. It came in intact, normally packed. Works. Warm-up is slow. There are no questions and no complaints.

I got awesome germination rates with this mat compared to my not heated germination trays and would highly recommend this kit.
