This is one of the most useful purchases I made over the last two years. I need to keep a home office desk where I run two different PC's, and my monitor has just one HDMI. It saves a lot of space (it's as big as a cigarette pack) and you do the switch at the push of a button. It will disconnect video mouse and keyboard orderly (you may hear the sound of the USB unplugging) and reconnect within 2 seconds to the other computer. This KVM comes with two USB-C cables of which I read some complaints in reviews, but for me they work well. If there's trouble in reconnecting it's more due to the fact that my 2nd computer is connected via a docking station, so "waking up" doesn't work very well through the USB on the docking station. The main computer, with an ASUS motherboard, doesn't have instead issues. I have Corsair brand LED keyboard and mouse and the Corsair application iCue doesn't have trouble restoring the lighting effects upon reconnection.
