The circuit works exactly as described. The sine wave is more like a triangle than a true sine, but that's to be expected given the datasheet. The noise in the photo comes from a power supply, the circuit itself is fine. It's very easy to assemble, but for a complete novice I think the resistors should be labeled. Very good price!
