good size. only slightly larger then the cotman pocket but holds twice the amount of half pans. arrived in 2 weeks to the USA. the larger palette opens flat and doesn't wobble at all. i actually wish it was a little narrower so that the pans fit snuggly -- there's a little extra space in each row so the pans are loose and can fall out -- but they can be tacked down with magnets or tape so it's not a big deal. you can probably fit a short brush in the palette if you want to.

It is not for 24, just 12 go in. Good box for 12 colors.
