Yes. It does work. Try harder, find types of paper it won't cut properly. So far I can say, regular print paper etc, are ok, mostly. Thicker, some sort of cardboard (mostly used in some small packages) or thin like receipts, are not suitable. Overall it's nice product but I recommend much more expensive staplers, different way of pressure.
